DESCRIPTION:
Work with lead designer to create general arrangement, & fabrication drawings from Autodesk Inventor 3D models.
CORE DUTIES:
1. Prepare detailed general arrangement drawings for client approval.
2. Prepare detailed fabrication drawings for our steel fabricator.
3. Prepare P&ID drawings
4. Prepare Bill of materials.
5. Prepare submittal packages for clients
6. Mechanical design of treatment systems in Autodesk Inventor once the equipment is more understood.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, knowledge of plans, scale drawings, and revisions for complex projects, integrating standard drafting methods and procedures, with the operation and application of Autodesk AutoCAD, & Inventor software.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
A certification or associate degree in drafting from an accredited trade school.
Fluent knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD, & Inventor software.
2+ years experience - preferably in detailing structural steel, or sheet metal fabrication
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to express ideas concisely and clearly, orally and in writing. Excellent writing skills and the
demonstrated ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to convey information effectively to
employees and customers.
COMPUTER SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor, Microsoft office suite, & Adobe acrobat.
AutoCAD: 2 years (Required)
Sheet metal or metal fabrication: 2 years (Required)
Autodesk Inventor: 2 years (Preferred)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The position is primarily a office job, but as smaller company from time to time you maybe required to help with other duties which can include lifting of at least 50 lbs, & light assembly work with hand tools.
