Compliance Help

Told your wastewater is out of compliance? We can help you work out what to do next.

When the EPA or your local authority says you must treat before you discharge

A notice of violation or a new discharge permit limit is stressful, and the clock is usually running. Pan America Environmental offers guidance and, where they apply, treatment systems built for your water.

  1. Tell us what you were told. Share the parameters over the limit (oil and grease, TSS, metals, pH, BOD and so on), your permit numbers and any deadline.
  2. Test the water. Our in-house lab testing, including jar testing, shows which chemistry and process treat your wastewater, and how much sludge it makes.
  3. Choose a treatment approach. We recommend equipment where it fits: oil water separation, DAF, clarification, chemical treatment, filtration or a complete system.
  4. Pilot if needed. Pilot systems can prove the process on your own water before you invest in a full-scale system.
What we focus on. We work on industrial wastewater. We don't design municipal wastewater treatment, or processes that need membrane systems; for those we will tell you so early, so you can find the right help. We can't promise an outcome for every compliance problem, but we will give you a straight answer about whether our equipment fits.

In-house lab testing

Lab testing, including jar testing, is how we prove the chemistry before anyone builds anything: the right coagulants and polymers, the dose, the pH, and the sludge it produces. It turns a compliance problem into a design you can price. Lab testing is a paid service. Learn about lab testing.
