Flopak

Features

The Pan America Environmental coalescing medias are a group of oil separation medias for use with oil water separators to increase their performance and throughput. The Flopak, Retpak, HDQPac, TPi (Tilted Plate Interceptor) also known as the CPI (Corrugated Plate Interceptor) models offer solutions for all oil removal projects at any flow rate.

Benefits

  • Increased system performance
  • Flow rates from 5 to 250,000 GPM
  • 4 Media types available with multiple plate spacings and materials of construction available
  • Construction:  PVC, polypropylene, 304SS, 316SS, Glass/Polypropylene
  • Efficient designs
  • High temperature capabilities
  • Variety of plate spacings
  • Low solids through high solids applications

Process Overview

The coalescing media designs are used wherever oils, fuels, crudes, petroleum distillates and solids can come into contact with a wastestream. Our MP Media Packs can be used to retrofit existing tanks to increase performance.

How It Works

The oily wastestream is passed through the coalescing media in a horizontal flow path, the oils attach to the media surface are effectively separated at this point, droplets gather together (coalesce) increasing droplet size and buoyancy, droplets pull away from media surface and rise to the water’s surface. Solids follow a similar action and sink to the tank bottom.
