The Pan America Environmental Clarisep series is a family of API421 based steel, above grade coalescing/settling oil water separator designs that can be applied to many applications where oils, fuels, solids and many petroleum derived products are present.
- Proven reliability
- Flow rates from 5 to 250 GPM
- Economical construction: Coated carbon steel, 304/316 SS, polypropylene/polyethylene
- Saves floor space
- Many possible integrated options
- Variety of plate spacings
- Highly customizable design
The Clarisep design is most commonly used wherever soilds, oils and fuels can come into contact with a wastestream and are designed to handle solids.
How It Works
The Clarisep uses our SPC settling pack of angled plates in the waste stream, the tank’s flow path brings the solids bearing water to the bottom of the plate pack, it flows up through the angled pack where solids then encounter the plate surface and are stopped from following the water. Gravity then takes over and the solids drop to the plate beneath and slide down the plate until they fall off the plate end and collect in the hopper bottom.
The oil water separator section places a volume of corrugated Flopak coalescing media into the waste stream, the tank’s flow path brings the oils and solids bearing water to the influent end of the plate pack, it flows horizontally through the pack where oils then encounter the plate surface and are effectively seprated from the water, the oil droplets roll up the plate surface begin to coalesce into larger droplets. Then, the larger droplets increased bouyancy pulls the oils away from the surface rising to the water surface.
